Who We Are
Located in Yellow Springs, Ohio, on the corner of Herman Street and State Route 68, Friends Care Community is a vibrant continuing care retirement community situated on 23 beautiful acres. We proudly offer four distinct service lines to meet our residents wherever they are on life's journey: an extended care residential community with skilled nursing, post-acute short-term rehabilitation, assisted living apartments, and independent living cottages, as well as comprehensive inpatient and outpatient physical therapy. Across our campus, you will also find an integrated preschool program for meaningful multigenerational interaction, a greenhouse, a community garden, and a paved walking path winding through scenic woods. Guided by the traditional Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship, Friends Care endeavors to do right by every individual. By combining our individual skills, empathy, and deep-rooted compassion, our care team provides excellent clinical support, enriching daily life, and a respectful, dignified home to all who choose to reside here.

Founded in 1980, Friends Care Community is a true product of our village: owned by our community and born out of the absolute necessity for local members to have a place that offers the closest thing possible to aging in place. As a proud non-profit pillar and a trusted sanctuary, we provide a welcoming home not only for seniors, but for any individual in our community who requires compassionate care and support. We live out our philosophy of "healthcare with heart" by holding your hand and acting as a true partner in caring for your loved one like family. Our guiding mission is to meet residential living and healthcare needs within a vibrant, homelike environment, ensuring that all levels of care are delivered with dignity. Above all, our primary goals remain the happiness and fulfillment of every resident and staff member, achieved by honoring the unique needs and worth of each individual.
